Drake arranges for his best friend Percy to watch over Sienna in his absence and for her to wear a mystically protected locket to keep her safe.
A wicked warlock named Preston lures Sienna to the states and tells her he was meant to be her husband. He tells her he has Drake held captive and in order to save his life she must play his game. If she can get Drake to recognize her by name and confess his love for her without her using her magic they can be together. If she fails she must marry Preston.

Again in this book I liked Kenya Carlton's style of writing. This book kept my attention and I found myself unable to put it down and at times on the edge of my seat. She has great characters who are all unique in their way. She also threw in a couple of clever side stories that I think would make good books of their own. I only wish there was more to the paranormal side of the characters, but overall, I feel like this was a well written story with the possibility of a 3rd book in the series.

LOVE BITE REVIEW: I thought this paranormal romance was an interesting read. I like Ms. Carlton's writing style. Her characters are interesting and unique. I only wish there was a little more to the paranormal side that I am used to reading. Overall, I think she did a good job telling this story and I will for sure be reading the next book in the series, Devil's Play.

This second book in the Lana Harvey series kept me just as enthralled as the first book!! The plot was well developed and full of unexpected twists! Lana Harvey, the soul harvesting reaper, reveals why she is different from the other reapers in her circle of friends. Can’t give that away, sorry, but you’ll learn how dangerous this secret can be.
Lana’s best friend, Josie, can’t seem to figure out why Lana gets promoted when she is such a slacker. In this book you’ll find out why. Lana even seems to find a love interest named Maalik, even though he is bossy and a control freak. They are still spicy together! Again like book 1, this book will have you laughing out loud, cringing in your seat, and fanning yourself during the sexy romance scenes. I cannot wait for book 3!

Terrific beginning to a new series!! New author Angela Roquet has done her homework on this one! If you like urban fantasy then you will love this book. There are reapers, demons, mythological creatures and even an archangel! Wow, what a combination! Angela works her wonders at making all these characters work together in this “afterlife” series. She makes you laugh and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Her main character Lana Harvey is a soul harvesting reaper in the “afterlife”. Her job is to get the souls she reaps to their destination. She likes to slack and have fun after, but her boss Grim (the reaper lol) has other plans for her. Namely plans that will benefit him and his career… Lots of twists and turns in this book and just enough sexy.
Angela mixes just about every religion imaginable in this book, but surprisingly does so seamlessly. She has a broad knowledge of religion and has definitely done her research. This is going to be just a great new series! I can’t to wait to get my hands on book 2!!
